Currently UUPS has open the offices of Secretary and Treasurer. UUPS is looking for dedicated and responsible students and/or community members who can handle a position of responsibility, the public, the university, other students and community members and who is dedicated to Education, Awareness and Inclusion of paganism and different pagan faiths.
The Treasurer shall have power over the allocation and approval of all societal expenditures for activities, rituals, speakers, functions, materials, refreshments, receipt of funds, contributions, donations and all other financial needs pertaining to the society including management of the PayPal and bank accounts. The treasurer shall be in charge of submitting the semi-annul budget to the board of officers. The treasurer shall be responsible for collecting expenditure requests from the board of officers and for submitting expenditure requests through ASUU for all expenditures. The treasurer shall be in charge of the forms needed to approve expenditures and will keep a record of all expenditures. The treasurer must also be present at sub-committee and general assembly of ASUU if bills have been submitted by the society. The treasurer shall take on the office of secretary and/or the office of vice president when/if the offices are not being fulfilled properly, officer resignation, abuse of power, removal and non fulfillment until the society and adviser can elect a new secretary and/or vice president. The treasurer shall fill vacancies in all other offices when there is no advertising directors and/or public relations manager to fill these vacancies and when/if such offices are not being fulfilled properly, officer resignation, abuse of power, removal and non fulfillment. The Treasurer shall have every other authority and power that is not herein stated but is necessary to the functioning and well being of the society.
The Secretary shall be in charge of keeping the minutes of the meetings, activities, rituals, special committee meetings, elections, drafting amendments to the constitution of the society, runoff elections, and joint sessions of the Board of Officers with the adviser and other functions of the society. The secretary shall take on the office of vice-president and./or the office of president when/if the such offices are not being fulfilled properly, officer resignation, abuse of power, removal and non fulfillment until the society and adviser can elect a new vice president and/or president. The secretary shall fill vacancies in all other offices when there is no treasurer, advertising directors and/or relations manager to fill these vacancies and when/if such offices are not being fulfilled properly, officer resignation, abuse of power, removal and non fulfillment. The secretary shall have every other authority and power that is not herein stated but is necessary to the functioning and well being of the society.
Please keep in mind that this officer position is an appointment to the office by the president of UUPS. When the society has elections, each office has the ability to be turned and a new person elected. Also, each appointment may be terminated for failure to fulfill the duties of each office. These offices are offices of service. There are monthly meetings to attend, panels, boards and other groups that are outside the scope of UUPS, such as the interfaith meetings, volunteering and other forms of service/Public Relations.
